Take a motor cart (xe lôi) or bike on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on really life and find out about tropical culture from Peasants. Visit Tra Su, getting to the wild birds Sanctuary, cruising smoothly with small boats to discover the arrays of splendid canals deep into the forest ,watching storks, cranes and other tropical birds. Visit Binh Thuy historic village, the floating market and wandering along Ninh Kieu port and go shopping at the night market.

Itinerary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – Ham Luong – Ben Tre -   Chau Doc (L)

• At 8.00 am, Leave Ho Chi Minh city for visiting Mekong Delta. On arrival in Hàm Luông Pier (Bến Tre town). Take a boat on Bến Tre river – one of tributaries of Mekong river, sight-seeing  lively activities along river as fishing, water transfering…Stop at brickwork to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style by printing and baking. Visit one of plenty of coconut processing workshops located along canal. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to village. Take a walk to family workshop making sleepmats and enjoying some fruits and tea.

• Afternoon -  Take rowing-boat along water palm creek. Then boat back to Hùng Vương Pier.


• Proceed to Chau Doc. Check in on arrival. Visit the Sam Mountain and the caved pagoda, enjoy the sunset over the Vietnamese-Cambodian Frontier.


• Dinner on guest’s account.


• Overnight at your proposed hotel in Chau Doc.

Day 2: Chau Doc – Tra Su Sanctuary bird – Can Tho (B/L/_)

• Breakfast at your hotel. Take a motor boat trip to see the floating fish farm and the floating village. Visit the local Cham minority village in their traditional weaving village.


• Continue the tour to visit Tra Su, getting to the wild birds Sanctuary, cruising smoothly with small boats to discover the arrays of splendid canals deep into the forest, watching storks, cranes and other tropical birds.


• Back to Chau Doc for Lunch.


• Depart for Can Tho, on the way visit Binh Thuy historic village. Leisure in the evening for wandering along Ninh Kieu port and go shopping at the night market.


• Dinner on guest’s account.


• Overnight at your proposed hotel in Can Tho.

Day 3: Can Tho – Cai Rang floating market (B/L/_)

• After breakfast, take the morning boat trip to visit the Phong Dien floating market which is at its liveliest at this time of day. Keep cruising through the small channels system, stopping off to visit a rice noodle making village. Experience the “Monkey Bridge” in the Delta and the orchard garden.

 

Option 1:

• Return to Ho Chi Minh city.


• Stop for rest in Vinh Long and My Tho town.

Stop at Vung Tau beach for seeing Long Tan cross. All the highlights of Southern Vietnam are covered in this compact trip. Itinerary:

 

Day 1 : Hochiminh city and arrival

• Arrive at Tan San Nhat airport. Welcome by your local guide and driver.


• Transfer to your hotel.


• Overnight at your proposed hotel in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 2 :  Cu Chi tunnels – Ho Chi Minh city – Dinner on Sai Gon river (B/L/D)

• Breakfast at the hotel. At 08.00am, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network of tunnels constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation, etc. and were used as a military base for the Vietcong during the American war.


• Lunch at local restaurant.


• Return to Ho Chi Minh city. Driven to China town, visit Binh Tay market. You can find many products such as textiles, electric, cosmetic, shoes, leather, germs … at this market. Then visit Thien Hau temple.


• Enjoy dinner on Sai Gon Cruise.


• Overnight at your proposed hotel in Ho Chi Minh city.

 

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh - My Tho - Ben Tre  (B/L/_)

• Breakfast at the hotel. At 08.00am, depart for My Tho. Take a boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the river bank. Visit the My Tho fishing village, floating fish farm.


• Proceed to Tortoise island and have lunch in the orchard. Enjoy a boat ride through Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle. Enjoy a rowing boat ride along the creeks, after trekking through the fruit plantation, village.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh  – Mui Ne (B/L/D )

• Overnight at your proposed hotel in Mui Ne

Day 5: Mui Ne – Vung Tau (B/L/D )

• Early morning around 5.00am, enjoy the sunrise over the Mui Ne white and red sand dunes before return to your resort for breakfast. Free your time on the beach in the morning.


• Then transfer to Vung Tau.

Day 6: Long Tan – Nui Dat (B/L/_ )

• Breakfast at the hotel. At 08.00am, depart to visit the Long Tan Cross, Horse Shoe then to Long Phuoc Tunnels en-route and Nui Dat (SAS Hill) and Baria.


• Return to the hotel.

Day 7: Vung Tau – Ho Chi Minh (B/L/D )

Day 8 : Hochiminh city tour & departure ( B/_/D )

• Breakfast at the hotel. At 08.00am, start a sightseeing tour to the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of the war in April 1975, and some French colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Central Post Office.


• After seeing the War Remnants Museum and Lacquer factory, we end the city tour with Ben Thanh market where anything and everything is for sale.


• Free your time in the afternoon.
